Don't Lose Heart

"Don't lose heart" is an idiom that means to remain hopeful and not give up, even in the face of difficulty or setbacks. It's about not becoming discouraged or losing confidence in your ability to succeed. I actually wrote this song in 2011 but it sat in my archive for some time. During lockdown days, I was experimenting with different DAWs and managed to come out with a demo for this song (which I posted on my Soundcloud).. over the years, I tried out different versions of the song, then early this year, I decided to freshen it for a proper single. It's a song that I felt as though I wrote to myself as a reminder that better days are ahead, despite the challenges of life. There are days where it feels like things don't go according to plan, so it's important to remind yourself that we can start afresh each day. These days, people talk about mental health awareness so I hope this song also brings some sort of awareness about mental health challenges that we face. Hopefully more are encouraged to seek help, while raising awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting open conversations about mental well-being. The other unique thing about this song is that it has some country vibes. Personally, I am inspired by the genre and fan of artists like Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Lady A. So I hope y'all will enjoy this song that is being presented in such a genre and find it refreshing to hear such a song coming from Malaysia.
