Emc Shaz is a Malaysian hip-hop artist, music producer, and composer based in Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur. Active in the Malaysian underground scene since 2009, he is recognized for his versatile roles as a rapper, singer, and lyricist, often blending Malay and English. His work is noted for its "street-level" production and themes of youth empowerment and cultural identity.
Originally gaining prominence with the group Flow Eazy, Shaz has since become a key figure in the "Ipoh Sound," a sub-genre characterized by its gritty yet playful nature. Beyond his solo work, he is a central producer for Krayziesoundz Productions alongside with Loco Muerta Productions and has been the technical architect behind viral hits for other artists.
