HALIZOR BIN HUSSEIN aka FLY Halizor is a Malaysian based electric and upright bassist, bass lecturer, music director, bass technician and producer. Completing his Music Degree in UiTM (2003) and Master of Arts In International Contemporary Arts and Design in Lim Kok Wing University (2017).
FLY HALIZOR has since made a name for himself among the local and international music scene alike for the past 16 years whether in Pop, Rock, Jazz and Classical music as well.
FLY has performed, toured and recorded for various artists such as Dato Seri Siti Nurhaliza, Adibah Nor, Dato Sheila Majid, Aubrey Suwito, Anuar Zain, Dato Zainal Abidin, Ella, Man Keedal, Dato Awie (WINGS), Dato M Nasir, Jaclyn Victor, Salamiah Hassan, Amy Search, Atilia, Dayang Nurfaizah and many more.
Among the list of international artist he has worked with, comes the sound name of renown musicians such as Jazz singer Laura Fygi, Motown sensation The Temptations , vocalist Mike Davis and Donnie Ray (The Platters), The Three Degrees, flautist Nestor Torres (Latin Grammy Award winner) , Akira Jimbo, Kazumi Watanabe, Eugene Pao, Kyoji Yamamoto, Taiwanese Pop Star vocalist Aska Yang , and many more
FLY has performed to various international and local performances, such as 2004 Asian Symphony Festival alongside NSO National Symphony Orchestra (Tokyo and Osaka Japan ), OZ Asia Festival 2019 with Dato Seri Siti Nurhaliza, Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra as well as Jazz Festival in Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia and lots of prestige Malaysian award and shows such as Anugerah Juara Lagu ( since 2008 till recent), Anugerah Industri Music since 2007, reality tv shows and many more.
FLY is also one of the founding members of THE PHUNK MOB EXPERIENCE, a jazz fusion band alongside with KL’s top musicians, Malaysian rock band called Projek Pistol and recently with the legendary rock band in Malaysia “The Lefthanded” since 2019.
As a Music director Fly won The Best Musical Direction for 15th Boh Cameronian in 2017 ( You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown The Musical) , music director for Noryn Aziz since 2010, Anuar Zain, Salamiah Hassan, Nurul Wahab, recent project for Media Prima’s Cover Lagu Raya with his band Fly & The Gypsy Cats featuring NJWA and Sarah Ismail (2020)
As a music educator, FLY has also been guiding younger generation musicians, during his time as a lecturer in Universiti Teknologi Mara (2004-2011) and Universiti ASWARA (2007-2013 and 2019 till now ) and Universiti Pendidikan Sulttan Idris UPSI (2017 till now) as well as his personal student groups.
FLY is also the official ambassador for YAMAHA Music & Laney UK Amplifier from 2012 to 2017 and American brand Bass Amplifier , Gallien Kruger Amplification since 2019.
